L'exposition « Un avenir désencadré » invite le public à explorer des visions de l'avenir basées sur la recherche et l'esprit créatif. L'exposition présente les travaux de scientifiques et d'artistes du monde entier qui basent leurs œuvres d'art sur des résultats scientifiques. Ces travaux explorent deux thèmes principaux : 1. les possibilités pour l'avenir de notre société et de notre environnement, et 2. les avancées scientifiques qui nous permettent de recueillir des connaissances sur le monde dans lequel nous vivons et de prédire celui de demain. La réunion de ces approches brosse le tableau d'un futur sombre, mais néanmoins plein d'espoir. En effet, être capable d’anticiper et de formuler les problématiques d’un avenir défavorable permettra de naviguer vers un futur plus prometteur pour les générations à venir.

The "Future Unframed" exhibition invites the public to explore visions of the future based on research and the creative spirit. The exhibition presents the work of scientists and artists from all over the world who base their artworks on scientific discoveries. These works explore two main themes: 1. the future possibilities of our society and environment, and 2. the scientific advances that enable us to gain knowledge about the world we live in and predict the world of tomorrow. The combination of these approaches paints a picture of a future that is both bleak and hopeful. Indeed, being able to anticipate and formulate the problems of an unfavourable future will enable us to navigate towards a more promising future for generations to come.

ATELIER DE MICROSCOPIE - un événement sponsorisé par Zeiss

L'atelier de microscopie s'adresse à tous ceux qui ont envie d'utiliser un microscope et de découvrir la beauté du monde microscopique. Enfants et adultes sont invités à apporter leurs propres échantillons ou à explorer ceux que nous avons préparés. Apprenez à utiliser les microscopes optiques sous la direction de notre Figure 1A science et d'un professionnel de Zeiss, Radek Jankele. Prenez des photos inspirantes et imprimez-les pour les ramener à la maison. L'atelier de microscopie se déroule dans le cadre de l'exposition, ce qui vous permet d'explorer les œuvres d'art et de vous inspirer pour créer votre propre art scientifique.

Atelier bilingue (français - anglais). Adapté aux enfants ! 3 groupes (7 personnes max.) peuvent s'inscrire à partir de 13h, 14h, 15h, pour une durée maximale de 1h.

MICROSCOPY WORKSHOP - a Zeiss sponsored event

The microscopy workshop is for everyone inspired to use a microscope and to experience the beauty of a microscopic world. Children and adults are invited to bring their own samples or explore some pre-prepared by us. Learn to use light microscopes under the guidance of our Figure 1A science and a Zeiss professional, Radek Jankele. Take inspiring pictures and print them out to bring home. The microscopy workshop is hosted within the exhibition, so you can explore the artworks and gather inspiration for creating your own scientific art.

Workshop Bilingual (French - English). Kid-friendly!! 3 groups (7 people max.) can join starting from 13h, 14h, 15h, for 1hr maximum time.

Participez à une table ronde et à un échange avec le public, en compagnie de quatre panélistes exceptionnels issus de milieux interdisciplinaires. Ensemble, nous voulons faire face au paradoxe d'une exposition croissante à l'information et d'une diminution des possibilités de communication significative. Comment pouvons-nous faire en sorte que l'avenir soit plus inclusif ? Les modèles prédictifs peuvent-ils nous aider à comprendre l'avenir et à déclencher des réponses adéquates ? Nous rechercherons des synergies, des problèmes potentiels communs et discuterons de solutions.

Join a round-table discussion and exchange with the audience, featuring 4 outstanding panellists with interdisciplinary backgrounds. Together, we want to confront the paradox of growing exposure to information and dwindling opportunities for meaningful communication. How can we make sure the future is more inclusive? Can predictive models help us understand the future and trigger adequate responses? We will look for synergies, common potential problems and discuss solutions.

Une conversation avec Giovan Peyrotty (SciencEscape, Genève) et Robert Dash (artiste et auteur, USA.) Le public est invité à s'informer et à discuter ouvertement avec les intervenants.


La mission de SciencEscape est de partager la connaissance à travers des documentaires scientifiques éducatifs. Leurs derniers projets se concentrent sur les problèmes climatiques mondiaux urgents. Ils veulent susciter la réflexion et l'action en partageant les histoires de héros locaux et en utilisant une lentille géologique.


Robert Dash est un photographe, un naturaliste et un éducateur dont le travail met en valeur les textures et les motifs complexes de la micro-nature. Cet auteur publié par le National Geographic sort un nouveau livre en avril 2024, intitulé Food Planet Future : The Art of Turning Food and Climate Perils Into Possibilities (www.foodplanetfuture.com). Le livre de M. Dash s'appuie sur l'art, la recherche et des pratiques innovantes pour réimaginer les crises enchevêtrées de la sécurité alimentaire, du changement climatique et de la perte de biodiversité.

Food, Climate, Future 

A conversation with Giovan Peyrotty (SciencEscape, Geneva) and Robert Dash (artist and author, USA.) The public is invited to learn from and openly discuss with the speakers.

SciencEscape’s mission is to share knowledge through educational scientific documentaries. Their latest projects focus on urgent global climate issues. They want to provoke reflection and action through sharing the stories of local heroes and using a geological lens.

Robert Dash is a photographer, naturalist, and educator whose work features the complex textures and patterns of micro nature. The National Geographic-published author releases a new book in April, 2024, entitled Food Planet Future: The Art of Turning Food and Climate Perils Into Possibilities (www.foodplanetfuture.com). Dash's book draws upon art, research, and innovative practices to reimagine the tangled crises of food security, climate change, and biodiversity loss.
